Arts Award Success and iPad Thanks to The Boshier-Hinton Foundation

We’ve got some great news. The 25 young people undertaking their Arts Award through Lifeworks Community Projects have passed! Some of the awards are Explore (entry level) and some are at Bronze (Level1).

The young people recently met the Arts Awards moderator to talk about all the different art they took part in including discos, dance moves, music, creating sound installations, digital art, responding to exhibitions and inventing new museum spaces.

We would like to say a massive thank you to The Boshier-Hinton Foundation for the generous grant which enabled us to purchase two iPads with hard-wearing covers for the young people to use throughout the Arts Award process.

These vital pieces of equipment have made such a difference to the young people, and will continue to do so as 14 of the young people progress to taking on a higher level of the Arts Award as they curate the Ordinary Art Festival  – some at Bronze level and some at Silver – and new young people join the process too.

The 25 Arts Awards will be presented at the Ordinary Art Festival, Friday 16th February, 2018 – and we would like to invite you to join us. The programme is packed with exciting and incredible art events – which you can find out more about here FULL PROGRAMME.
