Kool Club ... Re-launching in April 2009
NEW KOOL CLUB PLANNED
Lifeworks is pleased to announce that Kool Club will be re-launched in April 09, subject to sufficient interest. It will offer young people aged between 14 and 18 years the opportunity to sign up to an annual membership of a programme that will focus on having fun and making friends whilst improving life and social skills within a supported and caring environment.
Kool Club will involve getting out and about, using public transport, handling money, food preparation, nutrition, involvement in the local community and sporting activities, to name just a few of the learning and leisure activities that members will enjoy. Members will attend on a fortnightly basis, between 10am and 4pm on a Saturday.
The location for the base is yet to be decided and will reflect the most popular suggestions of participants, so please let us know your preference.
The project has been generously supported by Lloyds TSB Foundation, allowing us to offer the programme at a subsidised cost of £1,200 per annum per member.
