Kool Club

KOOL CLUB AND 2 KOOL

Kool Club and 2 Kool offer the opportunity for young people aged 14+ the opportunity to make friends and to participate in fun activities whilst improving life and social skills within a supported and caring environment.

The Pulse venue boasts facilities such as a kitchen for food preparation, games room which includes a pool table, soccer table, games machines and computers, TV for watching dvds, music system, arts and crafts area and a space to chill out. Members also experience getting out and about. Trips to Dawlish by the train, Buckfast Abbey by steam train, lunch out at the Royal Seven Stars, nature trail walks and a visit to the rare breeds farm and beach trips are just some of the activities that have been enjoyed by members this year.

Whether the activity is within the centre or out and about, members get the chance to practice important life skills such as preparing a lunch, learning about nutrition, handling money, using public transport, socialising and involvement in the local community.

Members meet at the Pulse Youth Centre, in the centre of Totnes between 10am and 4pm on a fortnightly basis.

Following the success of Kool Club and 2 Kool this year Lifeworks is now opening a new club at the Harbourside Link in Paignton for 12 teenagers in the Torbay area.
